How is everything organised, and where do the tags come from?

Clips are filed by keyword. On top of that keyword, each GIF keeps whatever tags and categories its original source gave it. Those tags are the threads that tie similar clips together - follow a trail like "face sitting" and you will turn up GIFs that a plain search would have missed.
